Got Wood?
Sourcing Our Wood
We often get asked, “Where do you source your wood?” The answer is simple—most of it comes from people like you who hate to see a good thing go to waste.
Our Demolition Process
At Bear Wood Company, we don’t just buy wood—we work for it. When you ask us to help remove a building, we take a more hands-on, careful approach. Instead of heavy machinery that demolishes structures in minutes, we remove each piece board by board with crowbars and chainsaws. It’s a slow process, but it allows us to preserve the material and give it a second life. While burning it down might be faster, we’d love the chance to salvage it instead.
Have Wood to Offer?
Maybe you’ve got an old barn that needs to come down, a deck you’re replacing, or a pile of boards gathering dust. Whether it’s a historic structure or just some spare lumber, chances are, we’re interested. The wood doesn’t have to be ancient to be valuable—while we love a great backstory, we’ll find a use for wood that’s two years old or two hundred.
How We Can Help with Demolitions
If a building has drywall, masonry, and wiring, heavy demo crews may need to come in. But that doesn’t mean we can’t be part of the process. Unfortunately, most cities and counties do little to salvage materials from homes or businesses scheduled for demolition—it all ends up in a landfill. If you know of a structure that’s set to be torn down, let us know. We may be able to save some of the materials and preserve a bit of local history while also saving the community some landfill fees.
